Regular Town Board Meeting – November 10, 2009 – Immediately following the Budget Hearing and Special Town Meeting.

The regular Town Board meeting of November 10, 2009 was called to order by Chairman Rick Mazurczak at 7:25 p.m. in the Raymond F. Sloan Community Center.

All Notices were posted according to the open meeting law and the media was notified.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led at the budget hearing.

Present: Chairman Rick Mazurczak, Supervisor Jack Dunbar, Supervisor Shawn Tingley was absent but participated by phone, Treasurer Mike Lynch and Clerk Patsy Christy.

Motion by Mazurczak, sec’d by Jack to approve the agenda of November 10, 2009 and to move items 9, 10 and 11 on the agenda before items 5, 6, 7, and 8. Motion carried.

Citizen Input – Gary Madden said he did not feel it was right to charge the clubs for the concession stand. He also stated that at the Lions meeting that they agreed to recover the old chairs in the Peterson Room. Rob Morien asked if the exit signs in the gym are going to be replaced and felt that they were not up to code. Gary Madden will get a price on new exit signs. Rob Morien also questioned the hot mix cost that was put on Eagle road a year ago.

Adopt Resolution and set date for Public Hearing on Discontinuance of a portion of Crow Road – Motion by Mazurczak, sec’d by Dunbar to adopt the resolution and set the date for the public hearing for the discontinuance of a portion of Crow Road to be held on January 13, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. Mazurczak and Dunbar aye and Tingley abstained. Motion carried.

Approve the signing and the recording of the Lis Pendens for Crow Road – Motion by Mazurczak, sec’d by Dunbar to approve the signing and the recording of the lis pendens with the Register of Deeds. Motion carried.

2nd reading and approve Ordinance #10:20 Adopt the Town of Lake Tomahawk Year 2030 Comprehensive Plan - Motion by Dunbar to approve Ordinance #10:20with the following changes LU 38 Sec 8 – Project change from 5 years to 15 years, LU 36 300 feet to be 200 feet, and LU 35 2000 feet of existing residences to be 500 feet. Motion failed. Motion by Mazurczak, sec’d by Tingley to adopt the 2030 Comprehensive Plan Ordinance. Mazurczak and Tingley aye and Dunbar Nay. Motion passed.

Approve the minutes of October 14, 19, 28 and November 3, 2009 – Motion by Dunbar, sec’d by Mazurczak to accept the minutes as written of October 14, 19, 28 and November 3, 2009. Motion carried.
Tingley abstained

Approve the payment of bills and vouchers – Motion by Mazurczak, sec’d by Dunbar to approve the EFT payment, also payment of regular checks # 12191 through 12231 and payroll checks 2185 through 2203 for a total of $55,469.20. Motion carried. Tingley nay

Treasurer’s Report –Mike Lynch reported income of $92,204.34 for the month of October and expenses of $53,337.59 for a net income for the month of October of $38,866.75.The receipts were higher because we received the payment for the highway aid of 30,280.42 and also 60,752.97 was transferred from the municipal building account. Everything was checked and balanced.

County Representative – No report

Sidewalk Ordinance 325.5 D – Motion by Mazurczak to adopt ordinance. Dunbar amended Mazurczak motion to have the 1st reading in December. Mazurczak sec’d this amended motion. Motion carried.

Appoint Sanitary District Commissioner –Motion by Dunbar, sec’d by Mazurczak to appoint Tony Evans as Commissioner of the Sanitary District. Motion carried.

Revised Raymond F. Sloan Community Building Use Fees as of January 1, 2010 –Motion by Mazurczak, sec’d by Dunbar to approve the revised use fees for the Community Building. Motion carried.

Regular Town Board Meeting – November 10, 2009 (Cont.)

Revised Driveway Permit Fee – Motion by Mazurczak, sec’d by Dunbar that the charge be $75.00 for a driveway permit and $75.00 for a fire number instead of $75.00 for both. Motion carried all ayes.

Correspondence – A Thank-you card was read from Rebecca Morien regarding the Halloween Party

Motion at 8:23 p.m. by Mazurczak, sec’d by Dunbar to adjourn. Motion carried.
